Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our Team in the Security Control Center as a Security Officer 3. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works under the direct supervision of a Lieutenant within the limits of delegated authority.
  • Conducts security-related duties as directed by security management.
  • Assists security managers in ensuring security policies and regulations are enforced and observed at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations and safety while performing patrol duties.
  • Conducts on-the-job field training for Security Officers as needed.
  • Conducts security-related lineup briefings.
  • Conducts random vehicle inspections as directed by security management.
  • Assists in the Security Control Center as required.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in applying security expertise to resolve security-related issues.
  • Conducts security post checks to ensure Security Officers are performing their duties in compliance with departmental and company policies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Monitors various alarms and security video cameras, answer telephone calls, dispatch Security Officers to medical emergencies, building evacuations, and other incidents requiring uniformed Security Officers.
  • Maintain and temporarily store classified information in accordance with company policy.
  • Communicates effectively, orally and in writing; establishes and maintains effective working relationships with coworkers, employees and customers.
  • Schedules Security Officers for overtime and escorting duties.
  • Reports maintenance issues, or concerns to appropriate department personnel.
  • Prepares and maintains various logs, journals and reports.
  • Communicates daily with Security Officers and Security Management as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and 4 years additional education and/or related security experience.
  • Active SCI clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
  • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Valid United States Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • TS/SCI and DoD Security experience.
  • Active California Guard card.

Salary Range: $47,600 USD - $79,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
