**The primary responsibilities for this position will focus on the Communication Security (COMSEC) roles, responsibilities and requirements and other physical security and security administration govt regulations as required supporting the PGS division and INS business unit with the Space Systems sector and other duties as assigned. ** This position will reside in the state of Colorado.  This job may require at times to travel CONUS and OCONUS.

The COMSEC Security Specialist will work directly with the Government customer as a program representative and will be responsible for the management of all procurement, fielding, and sustainment of Crypto/Keying material and devices supporting the program. This individual will also assist in the tracking, control, and inventory requirements of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and company owned equipment.

The COMSEC Security Specialist's duties will include:  Managing proper accountability, handling, storage, packaging, shipment, and administration of all cryptographic materials, troubleshooting, software upgrades, ensuring maximum COMSEC safeguards are in place, and configuration management using industry specific databases.  Other duties will involve the ordering and transfer of cryptographic keys, interfacing with the Central Office of Record, communicating with sub-contracting locations, and providing changes and trend information to other security team members and management. The COMSEC Security Specialist will also assist in the ongoing development, presentation and accurate record keeping of COMSEC security awareness training for all COMSEC users.

Responsibilities include

• Day-to-day operations of COMSEC activities to provide end-to-end support of Voice Crypto Devices.
• Experience providing COMSEC support to DoD, SCI and Special Access Programs.
• Experience with NSA/CSS 3-16, AFI 33-201v2, and CNSS 4005.
• Experience as a Controlling Authority (CONAUTH).
• Demonstrated proficiency with using COMSEC Fill Devices (SKL, RASKL, SDS, etc.).
• Individual will perform operations from a central location for a disperse enterprise multi-customer base.
• Will be the primary COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) of the Aurora campus and track COMSEC requirements, ensuring implementation of approved processes and provide coordination of task/activation/deactivation of all equipment and status monitoring.
• Experience with Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) equipment and associated keying material. Will track warranty information for all CCI inventory items and provide monthly and ad-hoc status reports.
• Perform initial configuration of cryptographic devices prior to deployment.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and support to all voice cryptographic endpoints.
• Conduct COMSEC account management and COMSEC inspection of all government owned cryptographic voice devices.
• Initiate, generate key, order, test and verify keys, load key, and fill devices with appropriate keying material for operational use.
• Coordinate equipment requirements with cryptographic vendors, customer base and military services to repair, demilitarize and dispose of obsolete and excess cryptographic equipment.
• Deliver, document and account for key destruction in accordance with customer guidelines.
• Identify, analyze and resolves customer service issues using ticketing system and administration toolsets.
• Provide advice and training to end-users.
• Maintain current knowledge and any certification required of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Perform other security duties within physical and security administration in support of Program Security operations as assigned by your supervisor.
• Familiarity with Security and associated concepts (i.e. requirements, countermeasures, risk management, contingency planning, emergency action procedures)
• Proficiency in some or all of the following NSA Type-I Encryption Devices: KG-175, KIV-7, KG-250, Omni, DTD, SDS, VIPERs and Secure Terminal Equipment (STE) with KSV-21.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant security experience.  In lieu of a degree, ten years of relevant security experience.
• Experience with any Government COMSEC manuals and certifications as a CRO or Alternate to CRO.
• Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Active and current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility OR current, active SCI access.
• Must already be certified as a COMSEC Custodian.

• Ability to work independently and follow COMSEC procedures through to completion.
• Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to manage and support multiple facilities/COMSEC security projects and schedules in a timely manner and meet project deadlines.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work extended hours, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, excellent communication skills speaking, writing skills and organized skills.

Salary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
