Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Propulsion Systems is recruiting for an Industrial Security Analyst (Level 2)/Principal Industrial Security Analyst (Level 3) who will have responsibility for all Program Security actions for classified programs and areas in our Promontory, UT location.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Personally support all classified programs and coordinate support from Computer Security, Physical Security and Personnel Security to collectively meet classified program requirements.
  • Develop and present a variety of security training and briefings. 
  • Maintain security’s database applications. 
  • Process classified visit requests and orchestrate classified visits/meetings. 
  • Manage foreign travel program and assist with foreign visitor control.
  • Safeguard classified documents, review Security Classification Guides, and ensure compliance with protection requirements. 
  • Configuration Control Board (CCB) member for classified systems. 
  • Assist with on-site inspections/assessments required by government regulations.
  • Conduct investigations and file official reports. 
  • Administer Security Education and OPSEC programs.  
  • Review technical papers and Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254). 
  •  Alternate COMSEC Manager: semi-annual inventory and account recertification; maintain crypto key/equipment.   

Level 2 Basic Qualifications: 

  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years. Must qualify for and maintain minimum of Top-Secret DoD clearance.
  • Three years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; One year of experience with a Master’s degree. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the 32 CFR (NISPOM), DoD 5200 series and ICDs related to security.  
  • DoD Industrial Security background. 
  • Experience with DISS and NISS. 

Level 3 Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years. Must qualify for and maintain minimum of Top-Secret DoD clearance.
  • Six years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; Four years of experience with a Master’s degree. In lieu of a degree, an additional four years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the 32 CFR (NISPOM), DoD 5200 series and ICDs related to security.  
  • DoD Industrial Security background. 
  • Experience with DISS and NISS. 

Preferred Qualifications for both levels: 

  • BS/BA degree (Business Administration, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred).
  • Prefer a willingness to learn and qualify to perform within the other security disciplines (PERSEC, Physical Security). 
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Effective written communication skills, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to include working with senior leaders/managers, customers, employees, and security personnel; Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. ​


Salary Range: $60,600 USD - $90,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $74,600 USD - $111,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
