Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable security regulations and leading the security program for various Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs. This position would support our Dulles, VA location.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Oversee classified security programs and provide expertise in all security functions in accordance with the Sensitive Compartmented Information Administrative Manuals (DoD Manual 5105.21 Volumes 1-3), Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), IC Technical Specification (IC Tech Spec) for ICD/ICS 705, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and other applicable security regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with government and corporate security policies/procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual guidance for classified programs and cleared facilities In accordance with DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specifications guidance.
  • Assist program managers and professional staff in the interpretation, application and compliance with program Security Classification Guides (SCG).
  • Provide program security and personnel security (PERSEC) support to include but not limited to review and process required documentation in support of the clearance/access nomination processes; prepare and administer program indoctrination and debriefings; access, review and submit clearance/access information using applicable Security systems of record, and other information systems; maintain PERSEC databases in accordance with customer tracking requirements; maintain and operate document control register/database; process and manage incoming and outgoing visit authorizations and visitor control.
  • Provide facility security administration, documentation, and management support: draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); conduct Security program self-inspections; manage inventory of accountable holdings in accordance with the policies and procedures; prepare and submit status reports to applicable government agencies; administer and manage classified destruction program; serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, and controlling all classified documentation (hard copy and electronic media) entering or leaving the facility, including electronic data transfer; maintain suspense copies of all material transported via courier and perform follow-up, as needed.
  • Pursue and obtain customer accreditation for accredited secure facilities per applicable government requirements (physical security, facility security, and access control, network and IT security, cryptography, personnel, etc.).
  • Develop, coordinate, and submit for approval physical security documentation including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC) and TEMPEST Addendums as applicable.
  • Manage and maintain UL-2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
  • Ensure the development, documentation, and presentation of classified security education, awareness, and training activities.
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues while providing leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on actions(s) to be taken to ensure compliance with the classified security program.
  • Maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers.
  • Review and verify personnel security clearances and accesses through queries to government security databases and systems.
  • Perform the duties of a Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) as required.
  • Generate and/or review Program Access Request (PAR) packages; ensure all required information is included including currency of information, completeness of forms, and inclusion of required signatures. Generate Program Indoctrination Agreements (PIA), provide to briefer/debriefer, and/or execute briefs/debriefs on behalf of the government security team.
  • Maintain accountability of classified material.
  • Implement policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, and for investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.
  • Manage Government-furnished equipment and materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen, must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) current within 6 years, and be able to meet the special access eligibility requirements of DoDM 5205.07 Volume 2.
  • 10 years of security experience with High School diploma/GED or 6 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 4 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Must have served in the role as either a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO or ACPSO); Program Security Officer (PSO); Program Security Representative (PSR) or Program Security Manager for at least 4 years in a DoD environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current counterintelligence scoped polygraph
  • Experience with Security data bases
  • Experience as a Data Transfer Agent for control of media (training is provided)
  • Working knowledge of Security Disciplines to provide procedural and policy guidance
  • Additional consideration for Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
