Northrop Grumman Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Analyst (Level 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California. This position may require occasional odd shifts, weekend work, and up to 10% travel.
This position will focus heavily on verification and validation of the as-built configuration of center fuselages on the production line. The Configuration Analyst will be responsible for performing reconciliation across the As Designed (EBOM), As Planned (MBOM) and As-Built (OBOM) bills of materials, identifying constraints caused by input errors from production, and working directly with the customer as required.
Essential Functions:
• Support Program tasks and attend meetings.
• Maintain Configuration Management Command Media, Work Instructions and perform updates as required.
• Perform CDM metrics on a weekly basis and support Program prep meetings.
• Perform Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) As Built reconciliation efforts.
• Proficient in or willingness to by trained on TeamCenter Enterprise (PDM), Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tools, understanding of Bill-of-Materials (Engineering & Manufacturing) and product structure.
• Ability to interface with other organizations to resolve issues associated with reconciliation discrepancies across the As Designed (EBOM), As Planned (MBOM) and As-Built (OBOM) bills of materials including Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Global Supply Chain and Quality Assurance issues.
• Address questions received from the customer as it relates to CSA, reconciliation on delivered products and serialization requirements. Have knowledge and understanding of Item Unique Identification (IUID) requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONFIGURATION ANALYST
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 1 years of related experience, OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years of related professional / military experience in lieu of a 4 year degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience with Project Management and/or Configuration Management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively team with multiple organizational disciplines.
Candidates must have a proficient knowledge of MS Office applications. - Knowledgeable of MIL-HDBK-61A and EIA-649, National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree with 6 Years of experience or a Master’s degree with 4 Years of experience
• Government Contracts Experience.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFAR/DCMA.
• Experience developing, evaluating or auditing plans, processes and procedures.
• Experience with Teamcenter.
• Experience with Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing and Test documentation.
• Familiarity with Cost/schedule/budget concepts and tools (EVMS, SAP, etc.)
• DoD secret clearance with the ability to obtain Program Access (PAR).
