Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a highly experienced Sr. Principal Logistics Management Analyst to represent the interests of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Class Mission Package program for activities, operating out of the Mission Module Readiness Center (MMRC) in San Diego California.
What You'll Get to Do:
The Sr. Principal Logistics Management Analyst will be responsible for supervising assigned logistics operations at the MMRC San Diego. A key Junction of this position will include interfacing with the supply personnel on the ship, related worldwide shore-based entities, and Fleet Logistic Centers to coordinate and resolve mission package related supply actions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct logistics efforts to support material readiness, safety, and configuration efforts for Navy assets in multiple geographical locations
- Support all logistics activities relative to maintenance planning, coordination, and accomplishment to include:
- MM Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
- MM Corrective Maintenance
- Receive, inspect, and track logistics articles for proper allocation of local storage facilities
- MM Embarkation/Debarkation support
- Provide requisitioning and material expediting
- Provide Packaging, Handling Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) for shipment of material to/from Singapore and locations worldwide
- Provide transportation/supply chain analysis to fulfill mission in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
- Work with the Navy Supply (NAVSUP) system to order and research parts and materials, issue parts and materials, and stock parts and materials.
- Maintain inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses
- Oversee HAZMAT program in accordance with procedures and ordering requirements
- Utilize knowledge and experience with US Navy procurement, logistics, and maintenance systems including R-Supply.
- Work with the Northrop Grumman procurement systems, as well as government teams in the inventory and load out of spares, tools and equipment in the Mission Module Support Container.
- Use Microsoft Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required for generating DD-1149, DD-1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250
- The ideal candidate will provide logistics support to assist our fly-away teams on an emergent basis
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years related experience or 6 Years with Masters or 4 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of experience with the Navy Supply system or equivalent logistics system may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Must have a minimum of an active Interim Secret security clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance if selected.
- Experience with the R-Supply and other Navy Supply system to include ordering, stocking, and issuing parts, materials, tools and equipment at the MPSF facilities and ships worldwide
- Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work to include working in tight restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship and other spaces, climbing 20 ft. ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or lifting 50 lbs or more
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements
- Familiar with the MPSF unique material system (JIRA) to generate reports
- Experience in material and maintenance systems used by the LCS program including R-Supply and Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
- Ability to generate and assign work, supervise shop safety programs, and distribute safety and maintenance bulletins
- Ability to conduct and report on technical review of work packages to ensure logistics requirements are included
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
