Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Engineering Technician 1/Engineering Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Verification organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Involved in lab operations including, but not limited to, laboratory asset repair, servicing, troubleshooting, modification and supporting test execution.
  • Ensure test stations and lab assets are test ready at all times. 
  • Assist in managing laboratory configuration, utilizing computer-based tracking and data system.
  • Work closely with QA to maintain and validate test station software and hardware.
  • Participate in daily lab operations and activities to be in compliance with policies and procedures from Northrop Grumman Corporation and SIT&E.

Basic Qualifications: 

Level 1:

  • Current DoD Interim Secret Security clearance to start.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain and the ability to obtain Special Programs Access (SAP).
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience. 

Level 2:

  • Current DoD Interim Secret Security clearance to start.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain and the ability to obtain Special Programs Access (SAP).
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in reading and comprehending schematic diagrams.
  • Experienced using Test Equipment, such as digital multimeters, O-scopes, power supplies, etc.
  • Experienced with Electronic Principles, MIL STD protocol for 1553, 429, and 1394 busses.
  • Familiarity with avionics systems and equipment, Test Stations, or Lab Operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
  • Experience in Aircraft Ground Operations.
Salary Range: $37,700 - $62,800
Salary Range 2: $44,800 - $74,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
