Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Higher Command (HICOM) Support Team (HST) Lead to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, Indiana.
The selected candidate will be prepared to serve as either the Deputy Commander or Commander of the Joint Force, Corps, or Division higher command. The lead will be responsible for deliverables and products to include the publication of Division and above operation orders.
This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.
Responsibilities:
Provides Leadership and oversight to Brigade HSTs and Division HSTs to enable MCTSP to simultaneously support up to four large-scale multi-echelon exercises
HSTs and D-HSTs will replicate the HICOM, typically in the form of a Division, Corps, or Joint Force Headquarters
Each will teach, coach, mentor and train Division and Brigade Commanders and Staff counterparts across all warfighting functions (WFF), to include Command, Control, and Communications Technology, the philosophy of MISSION Command and the art and science of Command and Control (C2)
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree with a minimum of 20 years of Army experience
Senior Army leadership experience, extensive training management backgrounds and Combat Training Center experience
Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
Minimum of 2 years of experience with exercise planning using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process
Will be experienced in large-scale live and constructive exercises, a doctrinal expert within their respective WFF, and familiar with the employment and operation of Army Mission Command Information System (MCIS)
Experience successfully commanding at the Brigade level
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
Must be able to work on-site at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, Indiana
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Division or higher echelon command experience
A minimum of one 1 year of experience in the MCTSP or similar training program
