General
Northrop Grumman is seeking an Intel HICOM Facilitator (Staff Military Trainer) for employment at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This position is in support of the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) and trains Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in the Army Mission Command Systems and Operations Process. MCTP facilitates Army simulation exercises replicating a robust Operating Environment (OE) for units to conduct Large Scale Combat Operations.
HICOM Facilitation Team Responsibilities. The HICOM Staff Integration Team serves as an imbedded team to the exercise Higher Headquarters (HICOM). This team facilitates scenario understanding, battle rhythm events, and critical linkages between the exercise control group and the HICOM.
- During Planning, the HICOM Team conducts planning (ICW Plans) to develop and refine scenarios for subsequent WFXs
- During the ELC (Exercise Life Cycle), works with EXCON (Exercise Control) to plan, prepare, and serve as a conduit between Scenario Design / MCTP and the HICOM
- During execution, integrates with the HICOM, at the HICOM location and interacts directly with respective primary staff officers to operationally steer the exercise
- Integrate with the FORSCOM Directed HICOM to ensure they understand the scenario limitations and constraints in place to achieve desired training conditions
- Works directly with SDD Plans, CUOPS, and respective Operations Groups to ensure that the HICOM is providing the appropriate inputs and stimulus to training audiences
Individual Responsibilities
- Facilitate the respective WFX HICOM G2 (Intel) section
- Integrate additional WfF personnel to facilitate planning and execution
- Anticipate, account for, and respond to WfF specific RFIs associated with the scenario, HICOM order, and exercise operations
- Operationally apply current doctrine to develop WfF appropriate concepts
- Write Orders and WfF Annexes at the Corps and Land Component level
- Set the conditions for scripted stimulus and injects by foreshadowing problems in the in orders
- Incorporate best practices into the planning process and products
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 15 years’ experience
- U.S. Army Command and General Staff College or service equivalent
- U.S. Military service as a Senior Field Grade Officer (COL, LTC)
- Familiar with current Army and Joint doctrine
- Must possess and active DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
- U.S. Military service as a Division or Corps G2 primary during a WFX
- WFX experience as an OCT or the HICOM G2
- U.S. Army War College or service equivalent
- Mastery of current Army and Joint doctrine
