As a member of the Launch Vehicle Software Development Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the ground floor of Northrop Grumman's Digital Thread Transformation Initiatives. The Team Member should be a self-motivated individual that will be responsible for the support of a continuously evolving Web Application Infrastructure for Digital Transformation, Model-Based Systems Engineering Tools, and Launch Vehicles business requirements. As a member of the team, you will:

  • Work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to determine application features, processes, and tool usage.
  • Support integration and deployment of applications.
  • Support Epic, Story, and Task creation, refinement, implementation, and testing.
  • Server – Provisioning, patching, set-up, monitoring, and automating with scripts.
  • Create and maintain agile processes.
  • Contribute to Peer Reviews.
  • Collaborate on Agile Process Improvement, DevOps CI/CD Pipeline Improvement, Web-App Architecture, and Technology Stack.

The team member will utilize some of following tools and technologies to support all phases of the software development lifecycle:

  • Python
  • PowerShell
  • Batch Scripts
  • Windows Server
  • Linux (RHEL)
  • Visual Studio Code
  • Git
  • Agile and DevOps
  • Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence)
  • Jenkins and SonarQube
  • Microservices
  • Containerization such as Docker

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (You’ll Bring These Qualifications):

  • Two years’ relevant experience with web application and microservice infrastructure support.
  • An Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Current Security+ certification or can obtain within 5 months.
  • Experience working with full stack infrastructure.
  • Experience architecting, configuring, and maintaining a DevOps environment.
  • Experience architecting, configuring, and maintaining a web stack in a Microsoft Windows or Linux (RHEL) environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience

Preferred Qualifications (These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Jenkins pipeline development/maintenance/automation.
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with NodeJS, RabbitMQ and Celery.
  • Experience with relational database development.
  • Experience developing and maintaining microservices.
  • Experience with Containerization.
  • Experience developing software in a Windows or Linux environment.

Salary Range: $44,800 USD - $74,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
