There is an opportunity to join the team as a Mechanical Technician 2. As a member of our team, you will plan, layout, fabricate, repair, and assemble part protection and material handling devices. Work will involve the following: reading engineering drawings, process specifications, and work order instructions; setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten plastic, foam, aluminum and MDF; and assembling products together utilizing pneumatic hand tools, installing various hardware such as rivets, fasteners, and others.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, plus 2 years additional education and/or related experience
• Ability to read and adhere to engineering drawings, process specifications and work order instructions
• Experience using precision measurement tools
• Experience using common shop equipment
• US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in sheet metal layout and fabrication
• Experience using hydraulic shear and hydraulic brake press 
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret level clearance
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Willing to work overtime as needed

Salary Range: $51,800 USD - $86,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
