SSSD is seeking an Business Process Analyst or Principal Business Process Analyst (level 2 or level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Redondo Beach, CA. Specifically, this position will join the Cost Management Home Room Team and will report to the Manger of Program Control.

In this role, the Business Process Analyst will analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing, and human resources systems. The incumbent will represent the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments and coordinate with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.  This role requires knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow.  A preferred candidate will have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Business Systems, MPM and/or COBRA, SAP, and Earned Value and its implementation as it pertains to program business rhythms.

This position requires the incumbent to possess a Department of Defense (DoD) active Top Secret (TS) security clearance and/or access to Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI). The stated clearance level must have been updated within the last 6 years.

Responsibilities include:

  • An understanding of MPM and/or COBRA, Earned Value Management (EVM), as well as broad knowledge of industry systems and procedures
  • Perform COBRA/MPM System Administrator functions such as access controls, monthly processes, integration with Project Server, Rate/Resource updates and code field updates
  • Act as the COBRA/MPM Subject Matter Expert on the program helping to train program personnel
  • Use of program business systems and coordinating monthly business processes to enable the delivery of successful products to the program and customer
  • Facilitating improvements in processes, software and influence architecture requirements to improve efficiencies
  • Process/procedure/compliance, and Ad Hoc program activities

This requisition may be filled at a level 2 or 3 as outlined below.  You must meet the basic qualifications as below to qualify.

Basic Qualifications - Business Process Analyst- Level 2:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in Business Administration to include Program Cost Control and Planning or 1 year of stated experience with a Master's Degree
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) and/or Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Access 
  • Prior experience working in COBRA, MPM and/or SAP
  • PC skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Office Tools, including MS Excel skills (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, VBA/Macros, Index/Match)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS)
  • Experience working in Power BI, SQL, and/or Power Query
  • Current or previous experience working with restricted customers
  • Master's Degree

Basic Qualifications – Principal Business Process Analyst- Level 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in Business Administration to include Program Cost Control and Planning or 3 year of stated experience with a Master's Degree
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) and/or Special Compartmentalized Information (SCI) Access 
  • Prior experience working in COBRA, MPM and/or SAP
  • PC skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Office Tools, including MS Excel skills (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, VBA/Macros, Index/Match)
  • Self-motivated, organized, possess strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVMS)
  • Experience working in Power BI, SQL, and/or Power Query
  • Current or previous experience working with restricted customers
  • Master's Degree

Salary Range: $77,100 USD - $115,700 USD
Salary Range 2: $95,000 USD - $142,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
