Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems Sector is currently seeking a motivated Engineering Technician 2 to join our test team in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo). We provide test services in our compact range in support of national security for our DoD customers.

Basic Qualifications & Educations 

• Support Radar Cross Section (RCS) and Radio Frequency (RF) testing of test articles and antennas
• Ability to mount and dismount test articles on a test support pylon.
• Ability to work in man lift at height of 65 feet.
• Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, repair and/or fabricate test equipment (production and prototype)
• Assist in the verification, development and documentation of test procedures and special applications by interpreting product specifications.
• Ability to support & work multiple shifts.
• Must be a U. S. Citizen
• Active and current DoD Clearance
• High School diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years in the aerospace or manufacturing industry or related military service

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to use standard hand tools and shop equipment.
• Strong basic electronic troubleshooting skills
• Crane operations, rigging and lifting, forklift operation, cable handling, model weight and balance checks.
• Familiar with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies and power meters
• Specialized Antenna/RCS data processing software (KNOWBELL, Pioneer, Spectrum 959)
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)

Salary Range: $51,800 USD - $86,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
