Northrop Grumman has an immediate opportunity available for an Electronics Technician 3 or an Electronic Technician 4 located in Oxnard, CA. The Electronics Technician 3 or Electronic Technician 4 will have a high level of understanding in electronic principles.

What You'll Get To Do:

The new team member will interpret schematics, wire tabs, engineering notes, and work from oral instructions. Also, it is desirable for candidate to have strong background in electronic troubleshooting. Candidate must be capable of working alone or in a team environment. Duties will be assigned according to operational requirements and will be distributed between office, industrial, shipboard, and remote locations. Job tasks frequently require the candidate to stand, walk, and climb in industrial facilities where it is necessary to bend, stoop, reach, and lift moderately. As a field team member, the employee may be assigned to work in areas and be assigned duties not related to electronics technician tasks to support site operations. These may include painting, assembly, repair, and equipment relocation activities.

Work area assignments may be in proximity to certain potentially harmful physical and chemical agent areas. These may include, but are not limited to: fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, chemicals, etc. To ensure employee safety and health, the field site maintains personnel protection programs consistent with applicable laws and regulations and may require the candidate to complete training in work procedures, use of personnel protective equipment, and medical surveillance. As part of medical surveillance programs, the employee may be required to take medical examinations to assess his/her medical qualification for duty involving work with these agents.

  • Soldering
  • Micro-soldering
  • Use of electrical/electronic test equipment (multi-meter, oscilloscope, megger)
  • Electrical component modification
  • Troubleshooting/Repair
  • Schematic reading
  • Attention to detail

Basic Qualifications for an Electronics Technician 3:

  • HS Diploma and a minimum of 4 year’s related experience.
  • Must have an active/Current Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access if selected. Top Secret/SCI clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Experience with maintenance and operations of electrical and electronic systems to include troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with electronic soldering.

Basic Qualifications for an Electronics Technician 4:

  • HS diploma and a minimum of 6 year’s related experience.
  • Must have an active/Current Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access if selected.
  • Experience with maintenance and operations of electrical and electronic systems to include troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience with electronic soldering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wiring/Harness Assembly Specialization
  • Experience with maintaining, modifying, and operating equipment in a marine environment.


Salary Range: $61,700 USD - $102,800 USD
Salary Range 2: $73,200 USD - $122,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
