The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Modeling and Simulation Software (MSS) at Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Analyst on the SWDC Configuration Management team out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. 

What You'll Get to Do:

Northrop Grumman Space sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst located in Colorado Springs, CO. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's SWDC MSS Configuration Management team.

Roles and Responsibilities include:

CM Experience with:

  • Maintain the configuration item technical baselines including the development environments, labs, and software baselines
  • Ensure the baseline documentation for each Configuration Item (CI) is complete working with the technical team leads as needed
  • Maintain the Software baselines and produce releases within the Configuration Management (CM) toolset
  • Maintain the Missile Defense Agency/Director for Engineering (MDA/DE) Task Order CM plans and procedures and stay compliant with SWDC overarching plans
  • Administer the MSS internal Configuration Control Board (CCB) and others boards as needed
  • Coordinate with the customer staff on baseline changes to be brought to the customer CCB
  • Coordinate efforts with other staff supporting the task order
  • Conduct Configuration Audits and Status Reporting of Configuration Items and Baselines

DM Experience with:

  • Reviewing documents for contract information, appropriate formatting, cover pages, release authorization, revision/change record, etc.
  • Maintaining a Master Document List (MDL) of all project deliverables
  • Implementing and maintaining program data libraries
  • Ensuring documents and media are logged, catalogued, and stored
  • Maintaining user–facing document repositories for delivered documents
  • Managing directories and defining directory structures for data storage
  • Reviewing documents for appropriate identifiers, dates, privacy statements, and classification markings
  • Providing access to documents and records and maintaining access lists
  • Interfacing with customers in a professional and supportive manner

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 Years with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 Years with a Master’s degree
  • Experience in developing and maintaining CM and DM plans and procedures
  • Understanding of industry best practices for CM and DM
  • Possess an active Secret clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CM experience in support of Department of Defense (DoD) development programs
  • CM experience in support of both system level CM and software including the administration of CCBs
  • Experience in support of Agile software development
  • Experienced in the use of MS Access
  • Hands on experience with JIRA

Salary Range: $78,500 USD - $117,700 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
