Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a dedicated Manager 3 for our Sector Calibration lab.

The Calibration Manager will:

  • Direct management and oversight of the Calibration Services across Mission systems; to include support for BWI, Troy Hill, ATL, Sykesville, Annapolis, Lanham
  • Calibration process owner for Mission Systems
  • Strong people leader and effective communicator
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to Calibration Product and Service Organization
  • Maintains ISO/AS9100 compliance as well as established best practices and measurement guidelines set in place.
  • Acts as the key point of contact for senior leadership Calibration and Metrology
  • Interacts with Operations, Engineering, and other business functions requiring calibration and asset tracking support as necessary.
  • Beyond the leadership and operational responsibilities of the calibration team, this individual will apply job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of tasks and complete complex work assignments as needed.
  • Oversees measurement processes, methods, and procedures for calibration of inspection measurement and test equipment.
  • Familiarity with ISO17025-2015, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3
  • Provide oversight and management of Sure Cal as well as TEAMS Calibration database.
  • Understanding of the general calibration process and have an appreciation of the value and criticality that calibration and asset tracking provide to the business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 9+ years of related professional experience, or a master’s degree and 7+ years of related professional experience.

Preferred experience:

  • Experience leading teams.
  • Experience in Metrology, Aerospace Mfg background preferred.
  • Background in Metrology (ISO17025-2015, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3)
  • Strong understanding of AS9100/ISO9000 Quality Systems, Root Cause/Corrective Action methodologies, and Risk assessment

Salary Range: $126,200 USD - $189,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
