Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Military Training Site Deputy and Operations Manager 1 to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our III Corps Mission Command Training program at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX (FBTX). The Site Deputy and Operations Lead for the FBTX Mission Training Complex (MTC) assists the MTC Site Lead by providing routine guidance and supervision to the MTC workforce to ensure all tasks are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Task Order Manager by keeping status of all reporting, Over and Above Work Requests and Staff Travel

  • Interfaces with customer unit leadership to determine unit training objectives and tailors MTC support to ensure these training objectives are met

  • Responsible for macro-level scheduling of MTC facilities and maintains a comprehensive calendar of training events

  • Proactively coordinate with the MTC Government staff to ensure all applicable requirements are met

  • Assist the MTC Government staff in planning and resourcing Large Constructive training exercises

  • Performs other duties as required by the MTC Site Lead

Basic Qualifications:

  • One of the following:

    • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of professional and/or military leadership experience

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional and/or military experience

    • Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional and/or military experience

  • Recent experience working at a Divisional or higher level MTC, preferably as an Operations Officer

  • Possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

  • Must be willing to work on-site at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas

  • Must be able to travel as required (up to 10% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree

  • A minimum of 10 years of military experience

  • Military Education Level 4 (MEL 4) / Intermediate Level Education (ILE)

  • Experience as a Commander or Operations Officer at the Brigade or Battalion level

Salary Range: $72,600 USD - $109,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
