Key Programs:

B-2 Stealth Bomber   B-21Raider   Sentinel

Sentinel: The Sentinel ICBM program is a critical modernization of the nation’s ground-based leg of the strategic triad. Sentinel replaces Minuteman III, which has been in service for over 50 years. Northrop Grumman is currently performing the design phase, or the engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) part of the Sentinel program and leads a nationwide team to produce a modern, integrated system that is designed to be adaptable to meet future threats and keep pace with emerging technologies. Significant progress continues on this highly complex program, achieving key milestones to mature the design, including key test activities such as the successful static fire test of the Sentinel Stage 2 solid rocket motor for the missile. A cornerstone of our nation’s deterrence, Sentinel will support global stability by serving as a safe, secure, and credible deterrent to protect our nation and assure allies for decades to come.

B-21: Benefitting from more than three decades of strike and stealth technology innovation, Northrop Grumman’s B-21 is the next evolution of the U.S. Air Force strategic bomber fleet and the world’s first sixth-generation aircraft to reach the skies. When it comes to delivering America’s resolve, the Raider will provide the Air Force with long range, high survivability and mission payload flexibility. The B-21 will penetrate the toughest defenses for precision strikes anywhere in the world.
