John Greene is responsible for the company’s business management and finance function and activities including the controller; treasury; contracts and pricing; financial strategy and planning; mergers and acquisitions; tax; internal audit; investor relations; trust administration and investments; and the business management organizations within the operating sectors of the company.
Bio
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2026, Greene served as a finance executive across multiple complex, highly regulated industries. He was CFO for Discover Financial Services for six years, prior to its acquisition by Capital One. Greene also served as CFO for Bioverativ, a global pharmaceutical company, and Willis Group Holdings, and was CFO for multiple business units within HSBC Holdings. He began his career with Ernst & Young and also worked at General Electric for 12 years.
Greene earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from State University of New York and a master’s of business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
