Building a Strong Safety Culture
A strong safety culture exists at Northrop Grumman, and it has been a central focus for generations. This commitment to workplace safety is apparent and integral in all we do, whether in planning, the designing process or production on the manufacturing floor. Our objective is to protect the well-being of our employees, visitors and contractors.
In 2018, Northrop Grumman designated safety as one of seven company values:
“We work to protect the health and well-being of our employees and to provide our customers with high-quality, reliable and safe products. We are committed to safe operations and are diligent in our safety practices and processes.”
Every employee has a voice in ensuring that they and their coworkers are not exposed to hazards in the workplace.
June Is National Safety Month at Northrop Grumman
The National Safety Council (NSC) estimates that a worker is injured on the job every seven seconds. These injuries can negatively impact an employee's quality of life, but they are preventable. To recognize the importance of safety in all we do, Northrop Grumman participated in the National Safety Council's National Safety Month in June.
