What to know about our application process
Whether this is your first, or your next, career. The application process can be an involved one, but it's an opportunity for you to get to know our mission and culture – and for us to understand a little bit more about you. That's why we wanted to give you a few tips on what to expect because being open, honest and transparent about expectations is a big part of who we are.
Here's a quick snapshot of the Northrop Grumman application process.
Search & Apply
You can create your profile when you first visit the site or when you apply for a specific position. The Candidate Home within your profile lets you check the status of your applications. Scroll down to the submitted applications portion of your candidate home to review your submission status.
Employee Referrals
If you have been referred to a position by a Northrop Grumman employee, you will receive an email notification to the email address your referrer provided outlining what actions to take and a link to apply. You must use this link to be successfully referred to this position. Candidates cannot list referrals on their applications. Application Review
“Under consideration” means your application is under detailed review by the recruiter.
Interview
The interview process is in progress. A representative will contact you to schedule your interview. After you complete your interview, you'll hear feedback from the hiring department.
Offer
This state means you have accepted an offer and will be contacted by a Northrop Grumman representative with details. (If you have declined an offer for this position, your status will state: “completed.” If this is an error, please contact your recruiter.)
Login Trouble
If you are a current candidate, ensure you entered the right email address or password. If the issue still persists, click "Forgot your password?" to reset it. If you think your account is locked, wait 30 minutes for it to unlock and try again.

What If I Don't Get the Call Back?

What is recruitment fraud?
Recruitment fraud is an illegal scam that exploits job seekers into providing personal information or money for fraudulent ‘job opportunities’ on recruitment websites. This kind of fraud is usually done through unsolicited emails and text messages, or through fake websites and social media accounts posing as a company. Those engaging in this illegal activity may request personal or sensitive information with the intent of gaining access to your bank information, credit card number or social security number.
Some examples may include, but are not limited to, asking you to make financial payments for travel expenses or “new hire” computer equipment.
How to identify recruitment fraud?
Our careers site can be found at northropgrumman.com/careers/. If you are contacted by someone about a job at Northrop Grumman, please verify the opportunity on our Careers site before engaging with that contact. We only schedule interviews with qualified candidates who have applied to a job posting through our Careers site.
Northrop Grumman does not ask for any financial commitment from a candidate. Be careful when someone contacts you and take steps to protect your personal information. Northrop Grumman assumes no liability for recruitment fraud. Be sure to report any suspicious contact to the media platform that was used. If you think you have been a victim of a fraudulent job scam, report criminal matters to the FBI, per recent public service announcements. Students and Entry Level
When checking the status of your application in your Candidate Home, you may see an unfamiliar job posting listed that you did not apply for. This indicates that our recruiters have matched your profile to a specific need at one of our business sectors and that you will subsequently be evaluated for that position. If you are not interested in the position, you may withdraw from consideration at any point. Any job matching a recruiter does on your behalf does not discontinue you being considered for any jobs you already applied for, nor does it mean that you should not apply for jobs on your own.
