When a soldier is on a mission, every second counts. There is an increased need for military readiness — the “ability of military forces to fight and meet the demands of the assigned missions” as the nature of warfare evolves and technology advances from fourth to fifth generation technologies. Live military training alone is no longer cost-efficient or able to prepare troops to adapt to the evolving missions.
As technology progresses, the military is looking to virtual training and exercise simulations to help increase warfighter mission readiness and capabilities in live and virtual environments. As a leading global security company, Northrop Grumman delivers, at the point of need, a wide range of secure and resilient training and simulation solutions in virtual and simulated environments that prepare the warfighter for accurate and efficient performance in theater and across all domains — anytime, anywhere.
As a leader in secure, cyber-resilient enhanced training solutions and services, Northrop Grumman offers a variety of simulation resources to prepare the warfighter for their mission — from air, land, sea and space. Our immersive training capabilities include virtual reality simulations, augmented virtuality exercises and secure computer-based training and analysis applications.

Types of Northrop Grumman Military Training and Simulation Technologies
Virtual Reality
Northrop Grumman's Virtual Reality, or VR, replaces your world with a virtual one in which you're fully immersed and everything you see, hear and interact with is virtually generated.
Augmented Reality
Northrop Grumman's Augmented Reality is any sort of system that overlays data, 3D objects and/or video on top of your current view of the world, while continuing to let you see the world around you. Our AR enhances your reality.
Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC)
Northrop Grumman's Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) provides our customers affordable, resilient and secure open architecture and modular scenarios so warfighters can adapt to any mission and combat exercise.
Augmented Virtuality
Northrop Grumman's Augmented Virtuality is similar to Virtual Reality, with one exception — not everything you see, hear and interact with is virtually generated. Our AV real-world objects are merged into and interact with your virtual world, such as sounds, smells, sensations, movement and information.
Computer-based Modeling and Simulation
Northrop Grumman's computer-based modeling and simulation programs provide computer-based modeling and simulation capabilities to enhance mission readiness through the use of models to create and display simulations and analysis on a computer. The computer-based modeling and simulation can be used for training, data analysis, experimentation and gaming.
