Job Duties:
- Manage the facilities and production equipment maintenance functions.
- Develop a team of direct reporting and cross functional support resources to maintain all facilities and production equipment maintenance functions
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and/or general maintenance.
- Work closely with company manufacturing and operations functions to provide utility and facility support needs as they arise.
- Work closely with Finance department to manage budgeting and quoting processes for facility and equipment maintenance.
- Managing all (non-hazardous) material recycle streams, ensuring compliance is always maintained.
- Work closely with company EHS function to ensure building and equipment compliance while driving safety as a top priority.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of related experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, preferably within the solid-state laser industry. 3 years of related experience is required with a master's degree; 0 years of experience is required with a PhD. 9 plus years of related experience would be considered in lieu of degree.
- Two or more years of experience maintaining building utility systems including electrical distribution, process and DI water systems, various HVAC systems and building plumbing, while working with and providing direction to external contractors within these disciplines.
- Proven hands-on equipment troubleshooting skills within electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge and experience with material procurement processes, sourcing repair parts and working with external vendors who provide technical repair services.
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft office products to manage action item tracking, project scheduling and cost estimating and tracking.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes.
