Start your future with a new mission, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, located in Salt Lake City, UT has an immediate need for a Maintenance Electrician 3.
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to: repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment. Cuts, threads, bends, couples, and straps conduit. Cut wire and conduit to length. Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. Disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Use blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications, and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices. Working and performing jobs on ladder. Confined space work. Use of respirator and ability to pass respirator fit and fitness medical test. Initial safety and job-related training w/annual recertification's. Additional duties will include supporting maintenance team with equipment moves, snow removal, event setups and other miscellaneous building maintenance functions.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
UT State Journeyman electricians license.
Ability to relay and receive information.
Collaborate in a team environment.
Prioritize and adjust tasks accordingly.
Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
Perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours.
Work in external environment conditions.
Move and lift tools and equipment associated with job requirements in a safe manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years’ experience in electrical installation and repair.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
