Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal OR Sr Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals with our Test and Evaluation Organization. This role is located in Edwards AFB, CA.
This position will be supporting one or more aircraft platforms within our Strike portfolio, including the B-21 Raider, the world’s first sixth-generation aircraft. When it comes to delivering America’s resolve, the Raider provides the Air Force with long range, high survivability, and mission payload flexibility. In this role, you will be part of a diverse organization of project management within our Test and Evaluation Organization. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects. This position will require the project management to perform advanced project management tasks from inception to close-out and continue to manage the system for operational efficiency.
The candidate should have knowledge of EVMS and Program Management processes and procedures. They should have knowledge of industry practices and standards and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks independently. This individual should possess leadership and team building capabilities and have experience briefing Leadership. Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Reviews status of projects and budgets
Manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Basic Qualifications (Principal):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 6 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management, OR a Master’s degree AND 4 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Must have EVMS /CAM/ Cost and Schedule / Project Management Experience.
Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Project (scheduling).
Basic Qualifications (Sr. Principal):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree AND 10 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management, OR a Master’s degree AND 8 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management.

Preferred Qualifications:
Current PAR/ SAP Access
Experience managing technical projects preferably aerospace related.
Experience managing facilities and infrastructure projects.
