Jackal
Next-Generation Precision Strike Missile
Lethal Strike Capabilities for the Maneuver Force
Northrop Grumman's Jackal is a compact, turbo-jet powered precision strike missile ready to launch from air, land and sea platforms.
Engineered to enable warfighters with the capability to rapidly eliminate targets while navigating in a GPS denied environment, Jackal benefits from Northrop Grumman’s decades of expertise in munitions, propulsion, autonomy and survivability along with its investment in modern manufacturing and digital engineering to address today and tomorrow's ever-evolving threats.

What Matters to the Mission: Speed, Range and Precision
Jackal is an affordable, lightweight one-way attack munition, offering a significant asymmetric advantage in range, standoff, and lethality to deter threats. It enables users to strike targets effectively by following a flight path that minimizes detection, allowing for timely engagement before the target can react. Here’s what matters:
- Speed: Ability to reach and maintain speed of over 400 mph.
- Range: Ability to achieve a range of 100 km from surface launch or 125 km from air launch.
- Precision: Capable of discriminating between potential targets using AI driven algorithms to identify and attack threats of interest autonomously when line-of-sight from firing position is not available.
- Mobile Mounting: Jackal seamlessly integrates with existing light tactical vehicle platforms, allowing up to eight launch canisters to be mounted for rapid-fire capabilities in a single mission.
