Text Messaging Program

Northrop Grumman’s Text Messaging Program (the “Program”) is a service associated with certain Northrop Grumman activities and allows you to enroll and receive information about Northrop Grumman, including our products, services and capabilities, through your business or personal mobile device.

By enrolling, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, the  Northrop Grumman Privacy Policy, the Northrop Grumman Website Terms of Use, and, when applicable, the privacy policies of Northrop Grumman’s third-party service providers.  You also agree to the processing of your information as set forth in these policies and terms and to use of an electronic record to document your agreement.

Participation and Enrollment

Participation in the Program is initiated as part of your employment, customer, or supplier relationship with Northrop Grumman but requires your enrollment to complete.  To enroll, reply YES to the enrollment message received on the mobile device registered with the Program.  To cancel enrollment, text STOP, or for assistance, text HELP. A message to acknowledge or respond to your enrollment, cancellation or request will be provided.

Your enrollment in the Program constitutes your consent to receive messages on your mobile device from Northrop Grumman and its third-party service providers, which may include messages delivered using automatic telephone dialing system (autodialer) and bulk deployment software.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies.

Data Handling, Privacy and Messaging Restrictions

Personal Information processed by Northrop Grumman while enrolled in the Program will be treated in accordance with Northrop Grumman’s Privacy Policy and, when applicable, the privacy policies of Northrop Grumman’s third-party service providers. These privacy policies will be made available to you as part of your enrollment, and your continued participation in the Program will indicate your agreement to them.

By enrolling, and other than your own Personal Information, you agree not to process or transmit other sensitive or non-public information as part of any service associated with the Program.  Sensitive information includes classified information, regulated information (such as export-controlled data, ITAR, or HIPAA), Northrop Grumman proprietary information, U.S. Government information (such as Controlled Unclassified Information and Federal Contract Information), and other information that may be restricted or regulated by federal or state law, regulation, executive order, contract or other agreement.

You also agree not to process or transmit any other content that could be considered illegal, harmful, unwanted, inappropriate, or objectionable for being false, inaccurate, hateful, or a risk to public safety, or to participate in any activity that could disrupt, disable, or overload any service associated with the Program.

Cost

Data rates and roaming charges may apply for each message sent or received in connection with the Program.  Rates and charges are established by your Carrier as part of your mobile device service plan. Please contact your Carrier for details regarding rates, charges, and terms for your plan.  You are solely responsible for any charges incurred. Under no circumstances will Northrop Grumman, its third-party service providers, agents, or affiliates be liable for charges incurred by you, any person responsible for the registered device, or anyone with access to it; nor for any overcharges, billing errors, or disputes with your Carrier.

Eligibility

You must be a resident of the United States and 18 years of age or older to participate in the Program. You agree not to attempt to mislead others as to your identity or the origin of any data or communications. The Program is only available to those within the United States. 

Supported Carriers

The Program is supported by most U.S. carriers.  Northrop Grumman, its third-party service providers, and supporting carriers shall not be liable for delayed or undelivered messages.  Messages may not be available on all carriers or on all rates plans.

Your Mobile Device

By enrolling, you warrant and represent that you are in lawful possession of the mobile device to which you request messages to be sent, that all registration and contact information provided in connection with the Program, including the mobile device number registered, is accurate and current, and that you are the account holder or customary user of the mobile device. If any of your registration or contact information or your mobile device number changes, you agree to update it immediately. You also acknowledge that anyone with access to your mobile device may view the messages you receive, and you agree that Northrop Grumman is not liable for any such viewing.

By enrolling in the Program, you agree not to register or use any mobile device that could be considered a “covered telecommunications equipment or service” as defined by Section 889 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 (Pub. L. 115-232), including any mobile device made by Huawei Technologies Company, ZTE Corporation, Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, or Dahua Technology Company. 

Network Access and Availability

The Program relies on services that may not be available at all times and in all areas, and certain conditions or circumstances could affect the delivery of messages, including but not limited to the functionality of your carrier’s network and text messaging platform, as well as restrictions set by your carrier on your account. You understand and acknowledge that network services, including mobile network services, are outside of Northrop Grumman’s control, and neither Northrop Grumman nor its third-party service providers are responsible or liable for any issues arising from these services, their unavailability, or for any messages that are lost or misdirected.  Note that message availability may vary by carrier and plan.

How to Cancel Enrollment

Opt-out instructions are provided above in relation to your enrollment. 

Program Changes to Terms and Conditions

Northrop Grumman may revise, modify, or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such revision, modification, or amendment shall take effect when it is posted to Northrop Gruman’s website. You may also receive a text communication to your mobile device.  Your continued participation in the Program by receiving messages to your mobile device will indicate your acceptance of those changes.

Program Termination

Northrop Grumman may modify or discontinue all or any part of the Program with or without notice. Your receipt of text messages is also subject to termination if your mobile device service terminates or lapses.
