Northrop Grumman Missions Systems, Microelectronics Center is looking to hire a supply chain planning analyst either a level 3 or 4, depending on experience, to manage global supply chain risk for the Microelectronics Designs and Applications (MDA) business area in the Microelectronics Center (MC). This position will be on-site in Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD. The individual will be part of a rapidly growing business area focused on groundbreaking technologies and their application to critical customer missions. The primary objective will be supporting the delivery of all contractual requirements in reducing risk for the betterment of program execution and relationship with customers.
This role is part of the GSC team and will be challenged to resolve issues and implement solutions, in a fast-paced environment – including process improvements, tools, metrics, data integration, and coordination and collaboration with key GSC and program stakeholders. The successful candidate will hold strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written skills, and an aptitude for DoD contracting requirements.
Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate success/problem solving skills in supply chain strategy, risk governance and mitigation, resiliency, and relationship management
- Execute on the long-term supply chain strategy for the MDA business area
- Monitor risk in the following areas and work cross-functionally on mitigation: supplier financial health, sole source risk, critical materials, regulatory changes, and geopolitical issues that may affect supply chain
- Briefs the executive management on the status and issues affecting MDA supply chain
- Self-motivated and proactive, organized and detail oriented
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Bachelors degree with 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain, or other closely related field or 4+ years of experience with an MBA, Masters, or equivalent degree
- Strong leadership characteristics, communication and writing skills
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with full-scope poly
- Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in US Government supply chain
- Demonstrable experience in project management
Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- Bachelors degree with 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, or other closely related field or 8+ years of experience with an MBA, Masters, or equivalent degree
- Strong leadership characteristics, communication and writing skills
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with full-scope poly
- Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in US Government supply chain
- Demonstrable experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Active TS/SCI with CI or full-scope poly
- Understanding of Northrop Grumman supply chain and key suppliers
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain management on a major program in defense and/or management in development or production projects
- Direct experience interfacing with executive leadership
- SAP experience
- Demonstrated experience in interfacing seamlessly with cross functional teams, suppliers, customers and major subcontract parts
