Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Representative. The Workers’ Compensation Representative will report to the Corporate Workers’ Compensation Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for aiding in the oversight of the Enterprise Workers’ Compensation Program. Seeking candidates with prior experience working in a Corporate Risk Management Department, with experience specific to workers’ compensation, multi-line insurance experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have relevant work experience or detailed knowledge of workplace accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
This position can be located in Falls Church, VA, Mclean, VA, Redondo Beach, CA, or El Segundo, CA.

- Possess advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience managing claims for a Corporate Risk Management Department.
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
Responsibilities may include:
- Provides oversight of the administration of workers’ compensation claims, which entail communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel and attorneys.
- Assists with evaluation of the Workers' Compensation Third Party Administrator's performance and adherence to service instructions through participation in Claim Reviews and Audits.
- Engage in a collaborative process to identify and create temporary transitional work assignments for employees who have been injured at work.
- Works directly with the employee, supervisor, and other resources as appropriate to implement a return-to-work strategy.
- Coordinates Return-to-Work calls with the TPAs and Internal NG Stakeholders.
- Participates as a key stakeholder in the Workplace Accommodation Department’s interactive process for employees that were injured at work.
- Assist employees and supervisors with the workers’ compensation process.
- Assist with gathering information for the TPAs workers’ compensation claim investigations as needed.
- Coordinates and participates in strategic planning aimed at reducing the incidence of work-related injuries.
- Review and approve reserve analysis for workers’ compensation claims.
- Attend Workers’ Compensation hearings as required.
- Remains abreast of existing legislation and monitors new legislation to make recommendations that will ensure that Northrop Grumman is in compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Basic Qualifications Level 2:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years progressive experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Workers’ Compensation Claims or in a Corporate Workers’ Compensation environment.
Basic Qualifications Level 3:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years progressive experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Workers’ Compensation Claims or in a Corporate Workers’ Compensation environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years experience in Workers’ Compensation.
- Strong Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Claims Management. Working Knowledge of state jurisdictional workers’ compensation laws, Defense Base Act, USL&H and Foreign Voluntary Workers’ Compensation. Experience with implementing return-to-work strategies for Workers’ Compensation and an understanding of Workers’ Compensation as it relates to FMLA, STD, LTD and ADA.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
