Northrop Grumman – Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated Assembler. This position requires a team-oriented individual to perform tasks associated with the fabrication of laser diode bars, laser diode arrays or laser diode pumped gain modules.
Primary responsibilities will include a subset of the following (1) fabrication of laser diode bars, (2) fabrication of hard and/or soft solder mounted bar assemblies, (3) preparation of mechanical parts for laser diode array and subassembly builds, (4) laser diode array builds and (5) assembly and test of CW gain modules.
Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Good fine motor skills
- Willingness and capability to learn new tasks
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with peers for training and work flow coordination
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience related to the fabrication of laser diode bars and arrays or similar manufacturing experience
- 2-year technical associate’s degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Quality experience
