Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Project Management – Project Engineer (24-063, 24-076, 24-077) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, and/or the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Position Overview:
The Project Engineer will work with the Task Order 60 (TO60) Leadership to manage, coordinate, and oversee the cross-agile Release Train and Cross-Functional Product Team efforts associated with TO 60 projects, contract proposals, and Mods.
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of Planning, Scheduling, Project Management and EVMS
- Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Deployment
- Experienced in developing and managing project teams and schedules.
- Experience in Development Lifecycle and knowledge of spiral development processes.
- Proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee Cross-Functional Area efforts associated with the Sustainability and Development lifecycle management.
- Experience with project planning, cost, schedule & performance.
- Previous experience with development programs and deployment execution activities
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
- An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- 10 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 14 years experience in lieu of a degree.
- Support the planning and executing technical scope, schedule, and cost inputs for changes, ECPs, and other customer engineering estimate requests.
- Support the development of TO60 IMS objective evidence and the collection of IMS status accounting, and will support cross-spiral de-confliction, Cross-Functional Area coordination, and schedule/resource issue resolution.
