Northrop Grumman's Corporate office is seeking an Executive Protection Officer at its corporate office location of Falls Church, Va. The incumbent will be required to travel with corporate executives locally, regionally, and nationally. (up to 50%) Position will require the selected candidate be available on call as necessary.
Job Duties include:
Provides protective services for the company executives, members of the Board of Directors.
Plans, coordinates and ensures personal protection throughout facilities, residences, airfields, off-site events, and ground and air transportation.
Extensive logistical advance work, traveling both domestic and internationally.
Maintains personal profiles and conducts risk assessments of personnel covered by protection.
Basic Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 4+ years of relevant experience.
Must have a current Virginia Dept. of Criminal Justice Services registration for Armed Personal Protection Specialist.
Must be able to acquire a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Candidates must qualify for the Department of Homeland Security’s Global Entry Program.
Must possess a current Driver’s License with a clean record.
Must possess a valid passport and able to travel domestically and internationally based upon the schedule of the principal and current threat information.
Must possess basic first-aid knowledge and CPR certification.
Must be physically fit and able to provide protective coverage during physically taxing activities, including running and biking.
Have knowledge of unarmed self-defense tactics and use of force.
Experience dealing with workplace violence issues and training.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of formal course work leading to a certification in executive protection (i.e. ESI, EPI, Oatman).
Completion of a formal Executive Protection Driving Course (i.e. Tony Scotti, VDI, BSR).
Experience in a corporate environment providing close protection in a civilian capacity with regular interaction in support of senior executives.
Experience operating internationally in a security capacity.
Possess a Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA), HR 218 permit.
Active First Responder, Paramedic or EMT certifications.
Proficient technical skills related to social media and open source information gathering.
Experience with access control or alarm systems.
Experience with Security Camera systems/CCTV.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Ability to analyze complex information and solve complex problems.
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction or supervision.
