Precision Grenadier System

The Precision Grenadier System (PGS) is a lightweight, shoulder-fired, 25mm weapon system designed to provide the infantry with enhanced firepower. PGS provides capability to rapidly and effectively defeat targets in defilade, close quarters battle, and small unmanned aerial systems without limiting the operator’s ability to maneuver.

PGS leverages Northrop Grumman’s 38-year experience developing and manufacturing integrated weapon systems and medium caliber ammunition for the US Government and Allies. We’ve developed four specific 25mm rounds for use with PGS, including air-bursting, proximity, a close quarter battle round as well as target practice, leveraging common components and utilizing existing automated production lines.

Precision Guidance Kit

The Precision Guidance Kit (PGK) replaces conventional fuzes for artillery and mortar munitions, transforming them into Global Positioning System (GPS)- precision guided weapons. GPS-guided precision weapons on the battlefield can ensure near perfect accuracy while reducing the risk of collateral damage.

Precision Guidance Kit – Extended Range (PGK-ER) provides the accuracy and reliability of the original capability updated for the battlefield of the future.

Hatchet

Hatchet is a six-pound, miniature precision strike munition enhancing lethality and reliability to manned and unmanned platforms. Ideal for use on Group 2-5 UAVs, or integrated with missiles, Hatchet uses GPS to precisely guide itself to a target and its payload rivals those in the several hundred-pound class.

The size, accuracy, and lethality of Hatchet is optimal for use on all aircraft, but specifically enhances unmanned aircraft missions.

Jackal

Precision Strike Missile

Northrop Grumman is developing Jackal, a turbo-jet powered precision strike missile bringing speed, precision, and versatility to the front lines. This multifunctional missile delivers modularity with lethal and non-lethal payloads. Jackal offers surface, air, and maritime launch solutions.
